how to add custom meta tag on a page

I want to add following meta tag on a page:

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=9; IE=8; IE=11">

but when i go to page settings and check the meta section, we have only two options like name and content. we can't add a custom attribute like http-equiv, which I require in my case. Is there any way to accomplish that. please let me know if there are any work arounds.

Teamsite version: 7.4.1

OS : Windows server 2008 R2

You can either modify the master stylesheet (e.g. fixed-layout.page.xsl) or you can do this with the page scope / head injection from a Java class.

I already did the first option which you mentioned . can you elaborate the second option if you don't mind.

Go to the search bar for LiveSite and type head injection.

Read the first few. This should be a few lines of Java.

You can also put it in JavaScript, though it will be lower in the head than using Java

This particular rule won't work in Javascript, because the browser will have already parsed the page before you tell it which mode you want it to operate in. The tag has to be inserted on the server side.

Where should we place fixed-layout.page.xsl file so that changes are not lost, when we run web-app ?

TeamSite/local/config/lib/content_center/livesite_customer_src/etc/classes/com/interwoven/xsl/runtime

Rick gave you the location, but that will only get lost if you run install_webapps with -f.

Still it does happen, so keeping it in livesite_customer_src is a good plan

There's a couple other things that trigger a full redeploy, such as changing the web.xml file and running a normal build (damned if I know why they built it that way, but it happens).
