External class deployment Issue from Teamsite to LiveSite

I have following components copied from Temsite default provided components

Which was perfectly run in TeamSite but not working in LiveSite. I also tried to find out com.interwoven.livesite.component.foundation.external.p13n.SelfRegistration but no luck. I got error like Internal Error .

Please give me some tips to make it working. Thanks in advance.

The Java class you are using in External is present in foundation.jar. please check on runtime in WEB-INF/lib if foundation.jar exists, if not then copy it from Teamsite from <iw-home>\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\WEB-INF\lib folder to runtime & check your component.

I do not even have foundation.jar in Teamsite at <iw-home>\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\WEB-INF\lib.

I got foundation.jar from some other server and copied on runtime WEB-INF/lib but still getting class not found error.

Also where can i put the jar in Teamsite so build copy it to iw-cc.war as it does not allow direct copy.

I am successfully able to get the foundation.jar in Teamsite and make it work, but still it doesnt work in lsds runtime

Are there any default jars which should be present on runtime to make external and rules work on runtime.

I hope you restarted Livesite after copying the jar ?

If yes then please extract the jar somewhere and check if the class is present in the jar. If the class is not present then you probably need another foundation.jar from the correct version of Teamsite/Livesite.

I did see after extracting and it has the class as required, the same jar is been used in Teamsite and working. The error says could not read rules and external. Will try to send the hwole stact trace tomorrow as server is down at this point.

i restarted the tomcat server using ./catalina.sh stop, ./catalina start. IS there something else i should be doing.

on runtime server the foundation.jar is present at this path

/iw-home/LiveSiteDisplayServices/runtime/web/WEB-INF/lib

The problem is resolved. Since the Teamsite is 7.3.2 the component code had to be accoring to that and it would not have any externals.
