MediaBin user groups

what is the best/ recommended way to set user groups for access permissions.

Currenly, we are using LDAP (Oracle directory server) for authentication and planning to migrate to our corporate AD.

Do we need to create local groups in MB server? or groups in AD? any other recommondations

Please suggest?

We use network groups as aposed to local OS groups; this allows persons outside of the System/Server administration for MediaBin (such as Helpdesk) to assign/remove users to/from groups.

Also, we try to avoid assigning individual user permission to a folder to help save on the administration nightmare doing so will impose.
