The Rich Media Integretion fails to work with HP Teamsite 7.4.1 and TS 7.4.1.1 with HPMB 8.1

Teamsite 7.4.1 does the connection with MB 8.1. Upon going to either the "Rich Media" tab in the TeamSite UI or attempting an Import from CC Pro, the correct image counts are seen in the respective folders, however the actual images are not displayed.

Another behavior is, user can select file but it fails to import to teamsite.

The legacy connector however works and may serve as a workaround.

We have found the same here.

TS and MB seem to not be keeping in step on product release/integration (hopefully HP will remedy that fast). The issue is with the MB UI which comes packaged with TeamSite as a standalone install, not an issue with the MediaBin application.

This has stopped us in our tracks on Development at a crucial point in our evangelizing internally the integration of both products. We have requested HP for a fix in between the next release of TS since we are already using the integration in our production systems and now cannot upgrade MediaBin to utilize its enhancements/fixes.

What we did was this to fix our Rich Media (mediabin connector) problems :

After upgrading to TeamSite, CC Std would not load. Below is the fix :
* Stop JBoss
* Make a backup of /iwenv/iw-home/ApplicationContainer/server/default/deploy/iw-wcmweb.ear/META-INF/application.xml and add the mediabin module xml element
     <module>
            <web>
                <web-uri>iw-mediabin.war</web-uri>
                <context-root>mediabin</context-root>
            </web>
    </module>
(Note: first check if it exists)
* cd to /iwenv/iw-home/ApplicationContainer/server/default/wcmweb/toolkit/mediabin folder
* run '/iwenv/iw-home/TeamSite/tools/ant/bin/ant deploy'
* Start JBoss

After upgrading to TeamSite 7.4, iw.cfg gets updated. The old iw.cfg is backed up by the installer in /tmp/config. So, compare and correct the settings if needed.
- One change noticed in iw.cfg is customer_webserver_port gets changed to 81. This should be changed to 8181 (if that's the port you use for your webserver).

Using the legacy connector worked for us with TS 7.4.1.1 and MB 8.1.1.

One thing to note is that we also had to switch the web service we were using from (http://<SERVER>/MBWS/MediaBinWebService/VirageMediaBinServer.asmx) to the older one (http://<SERVER>/MBWS/MediaBinWebService/MediaBinServer.asmx).
