iwattrib question
Hazzie
On page 90 of the windows 5.5.2 CLT manual it talks about the istagged element for iwattrib on files. Basically istagged can be true or false and the desciption says File is locked or assigned.
Is that
istagged = True and therefore file is Locked
istagged = False and therefore file is Assigned
istagged = True and therefore file is Locked or assigned
I am presumeing locked is the fiel is locked in someone else workarea, but what exactly is assigned?
Cheers,
Hazzie

Before TS4.0, an editor could "assign" a file to an author.
In TS5.5.2, there is no way (that I know of) to assign files anymore.
So, "istagged" is now basically equivalent to "is the file locked".

James,
Thanks for that.
It does beg the question yet again of "Why hasnt the documentation been updated".

Due to reality, not everything is perfect. We have more than one product running on more than one platform, with less than a 1:1 ratio between products and documentors - and some things like this slide through the cracks. When the problem is discovered, a bug report is filed (as James has already done), and thus it gets tracked for fixing for the next release of the documentation.
Honestly, if you find problems with the documentation (Smitty, you don't have to respond to this) - please contact Interwoven Support and ask them to file a bug report on it. We do want to make the documentation accurate, but we cannot always find and fix every thing that has changed during a release (the major functional items and new features are always at the top of the priority list and are usually reflected well, the existing features that may have changed are the most prone to being missed - just a fact of life)

Didnt mean to be too critical, i am just going through a phase of development and testing and releasing with my own stuff, and i am getting moaned at by our testers to say why is it not in the manual. I think i just had to vent a little

I understand, but to re-iterate - if/when you find errors or information missing from the documentation, please DO contact Interwoven Support and have them open up a bug report on it.
Sometimes we find these things ourselves, but if we don't, and you don't report it - it's not going to get fixed.
