Teamsite 8.0 support Oracle 11g ?

Good Day.

Understand from the Certification Matrix (TeamSite_8.0_CertMatrix.pdf) TeamSite 8.0 is certified with Oracle 12c. But we are planning to use Oracle 11g for Teamsite 8.0.

Did Teamsite 8.0 support Oracle 11g DB? Any one using Oracle 11g for Teamsite 8.0?

We are planning to upgrade oracle 11g to 12c in 2017 since we have support till 2018.

Our requiremnet is to use only Web Solutions Authoring (TeamSite), OpenDeploy Base Server and OpenDeploy Receiver. We are not using ReportCenter, Search,LiveSite Content Services Authoring Runtime Servers, LiveSite Display Services, LiveSite Content Services Runtime (for Targeting)

Double check with Support - but my guess is that it should still work with 11g (if you have a DEV box, you at least have a place to verify it for yourself too)

As per Web Solutions 8.0 Authoring Components Installation Guide Oracle 10g and 10g RAC, 11g and 11g RAC, 12c etc. are supported.

More over HP Autonomy Support confirmed that it’s not recommended to use Oracle 11g Since TeamSite 8.0 is certified with 12c and not with 11g.

As per Web Solutions 8.0 Authoring Components Installation Guide Revision 1, Oracle 10g and 10g RAC, 11g and 11g RAC, 12c etc. are supported. My miss..! You can find it in page 22 but these are removed in the latest Revision 3 (title still says Revision 1 but in URL it is Revision 3).

I checked the Certification Matrix and it mentions 12c alone as the supported Oracle database. You can check with support whether TS 8.0 will work with 11g or not.

Thanks, but the Database Information in page 22 is more of Oralce 12 c in WS_8.0_Authoring_Install_rev2.pdf.

As I mentioned in my previous thread,I have checked with HP support. They have already confirmed Oracle 11g is not recommanded for Teamsite 8.0.
