Hi All,

We have configured a monitoring against CMSTeamsite homepage url a few weeks ago. we got a notification telling homepage was not reachable for a couple of minutes with 502 error. I know the time and date when it happened.

Can some one help me where to find the cause, why the teamsite url was not reachable.

I checked iwserver.log, iwtrace.log,iwevents.log, .. but didnt find any reason.

Kindly help me out.

What version of TeamSite?

What OS?

What time / duration did the problem occur?

Does it happen "regularly" (e.g.: every day around the same time for the same duration, the same day every week, etc.)?

The other logs you should probably check - assuming you're using a reasonably recent version of TeamSite - would in in Interwoven/ApplicationContainer/server/log/ - specifically the server.log file (this is not the same thing as iwserver.log, which, as you no doubt already know, is in IWHOME/local/logs [by default])

Thanks for the reply.

TeamSite version: 7.3.2

OS: Linux

I am not sure on the time of occurence.

After a doubt that some times users see 502 on ui and in 3 to 5 mins it gets settle down.

In-oder to check that, We placed the script for every five mints to ping the ui url. The first occurense was found and so started analysis. I guess it happens at least weekly once(not sure).

I checked server.log around that time when we received the alert, I didnt find any error log statements.

You may be able to find something in some log - but until you can determine a frequency and (hopefully) a pattern, it will be difficult to provide much assistance.

It could be a network thing - in which case you may not see anything in the TeamSite log files.

I suggest you keep monitoring and collect data for now, once you have a reasonably decent amount of data, then you can shift into analysis and debugging.
