Relation between sitepublisher and CSSDK API

We migrated data from teamsite 6.7 to teamsite 7.3.1, but we didn't enable the SitePublisher during installation. Now we would like to use some of the CSSDK features to create one standalone war application. So we would like to know will CSSDK api's work without Sitepublisher enabled.... Please let me know.

CSSDK and SitePublisher are mutually exclusive.  Have you tried it?
