DRECOMPACT <CONNECTION NOT AUTHORIZED>

Hi All,

I am trying to run DRECOMPACT to reduce the index size in IDOL also to reduce the LSCS query time.

I have used the below URL for DRECOMPACT.

http://<servername>:<lscs port>/DRECOMPACT

But I and getting the error as

CONNECTION NOT AUTHORIZED

Could someone help to resolve this. Becuase LSCS is taking a lot of time. Thanks in advance.

Are you running curl locally or through a browser?

If you are running through a browser, you need to open all IP addresses to this command.

Also, pretty sure you can only run that action from localhost.

This should allow a remote user to run it. Bad idea.

1. Open IWLSCSContent.cfg and change the below:

[Service]

ServiceStatusClients=127.0.0.1

IndexClients=127.0.0.1

[Server]

QueryClients=127.0.0.1

AdminClients=127.0.0.1

IndexClients=127.0.0.1

To

[Service]

ServiceStatusClients=*.*.*.*

IndexClients=*.*.*.*

[Server]

QueryClients=*.*.*.*

And restart Idol

Should we have allowHTTPMethodTunneling=true then run the DRECOMPACT ?

That setting only affects the LSCS java webapp, not the underlying IDOL repository.

It would be best to run it locally with a curl command, and then set it to run daily.
