Sitemap in TeamSite UI

1) I am seeing 3 tabs in TS UI

Content Workflow Sitemap

Does this Sitemap tab is come up with installation of TS OR is it a part of some other module ? e.g. SitePublisher appears in TS UI only when SitePublisher is installed otherwise not.

Is Sitemap tab something similar to SitePublisher tab, which will show up only with the installation of a particular module ? If yes, then Sitemap tab is a part of which module , is it Targeting ?

If this module is not installed, then will Sitemap tab not appear in TS UI ?

2) Is targeting a separate module altogether ? Does it require separate installation ? OR in TS732, its a part of TS now ?

1) You are correct, the Site Map tab is a part of the SitePublisher/LiveSite component.

From pg108 of the 7.4.1 User Guide(attached):

"A site map is a hierarchical structure for user navigation. This navigation appears

as nodes that let you set and represent navigation-specific information about your
site. You can optionally reference TeamSite pages and external URLs in a site
map. Each node in the hierarchy is assigned a name value parameter to uniquely
identify the site visitor’s exact location (including segments and breadcrumb trail)
within a site.

The site map lets you specify the way pages appear in the site hierarchy, what
pages are represented, and how pages selected from the navigation components
appear.

The site map is created and managed from the Sites vertical tab. The actual site
files (pages and graphics) are managed oin the view pane.

Once a site map is defined, a site manager or business expert creates variations
(segmentation) of the site map where they can modify the site map to better serve
a particular segment. For example, a site visitor matching the Business Traveler
segment would see a different site navigation structure and different pages from a
site visitor matching the Teen Male segment. The segments that are displayed in
the Site Map tab are:

primary/default segments.
segments that are created and enabled as described in “Segments” on page 183.

TeamSite provides out-of-the-box componentsthat can be applied to site maps:
Horizontal Site Map and Vertical Site Map. For more information on adding
components, see “Add Components to Pages” on page 139."

2) As far as targeting goes, it is a subset of the TeamSite component that you can select to enable when retreiving your license depending on your license options.

Configuration of Targeting can be found on pg82 of the WS Authoring Guide for 7.4.1(attached).

#2 - Targeting is a separate module for licensing, but it does not require a separate install (same as SitePub). However, using this module essentially requires that you use the LSCS runtime as part of your end-user presentation layer.
