Adding Custom Jars to read Xls,xlsx files and creating json

We are adding a link in the teamsite UI, onlclick it will read xls file from the worarea location and it will create js file in the workarea.

it is working fine in local and also from teamsite JVM, but not from UI. It is not able to read my jar files and throwing classnot found exceptions.

I have placed my jars in customer_src/lib and added these jars path in reference/build.xml

List of jars we added in customer_src/lib are below

1)poi-ooxml-3.10-FINAL-20140208.jar

2)poi-3.10-FINAL-20140208.jar

3)ooxml-schemas-1.1.jar

4)stax-api-1.0.1.jar

5)json-simple-1.1.1.jar

6)xmlbeans-2.3.0.jar

After looking into few blogs i got to know xbean.jar by jboss and my xmlbeans-2.3.0.jar have same classes but mine is advanced version of xbean.jar. So i replaced xbean.jar with xmlbeans-2.3.0.jar in all the places.

Please let me know what i am missing here?, whether i added files in correct path? what are my next steps.

If you mean the actual TSUI in 7.4.x, then you're putting your JARs in the wrong location. That UI is customized via the 'toolkits' folder under the AppContainer folder structure. You should look this up in the manuals.

That's not only unnecessary but also unsupported. Consider rolling back those changes.

This is a bad idea because you don't know what might've depended on the existing version. Instead, try to match your dependencies to the existing version so you don't accidentally break something. Replacing the existing ones is unsupported and very risky.

We are using TS 7.3, please provide any documentation to add custom jars.

ok., even if we made our application to compatable with existing jar still we need to add few custom jars, please tell us where to add these jars.

Adding custom JARs to the webapp:

Import JARs to $iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/lib/
Rebuild the webapp (toolkit)

If running the make_toolkit.ipl build doesn't work for you (as Nick suggested), you'll probably need to provide logs and code snippets if you want additional help. But the make_toolkit.ipl should copy those JARs from customer_src/lib to iw-cc.war/WEB-INF/lib and then restart JBoss. There's no reason for ClassCastExceptions to happen after that, unless your code is trying to use the wrong servlet context.
