Login gives error

When I am logging in to TS UI, I am getting popup error message in a separate window

"java.lang.NullPointerException

File null was not found"

Doe it mean that UI is down ? OR TS service is down ? But if thats the case then even login screen won't come up. What can be the reason of this behavior ?

There is really nothing to go on from what you posted.

Start by checking the server.log.

You can run df on the server to see if TS is running.

If you're looking to see if TeamSite is running then I always use the following on linux:

 ps -flC iwserver.linux

However, without much of a true description or supporting logs regarding your issue, there won't be very many people who will be able to help you.

Try this:

find $iw-logs/.* -type f -name "*.log" -exec grep "java.lang.NullPointException" '{}' \; -print

Yes df is a Unix command line.tool. it will show /iwmnt being mounted

Are you saying that the login screen does not come up - or that it does, but you would expect it not to do so if the UI or TS server was down?

If the login screen does come up - can users login and work in TeamSite?

Does this problem occur every time you open the TeamSite UI in a browser window, or just when you need to go to the login screen (either because you explicitly logged out of TeamSite or because it's been longer than 24 hours [default] since you last logged in)?
