Open Deploy receiver deployment issue after non-root conversion

Hello there,

TS - 7.3.2

OD Base - 7.3.2

OD Receiver - 7.3.2

OD receiver is converted to non-root and we are testing the deployments but it is failing. I have attached both the logs.

After, od conversion to non-root, it was not back to root and still running as non-root user.

Based on the receiver logs, connection to server goes well and even the iwtemp file is created. But then it failes.

OD base logs look pretty fine just reports the failure by listing the number of failed files. It confirms that file content transfered but then says deployment failed.

Any help will be appreciated.

I figured out the problem.

OD was running as u1:g1 and user u1 was not part of group g1 so it was able able to reset the permissions on the files as u1:g1. Earlier, OD was running as root so it could write the files with this permission set.

So we added user u1 to group g1 and it started working.
