404 Error Message - Not Redirect

When we hit on some page, which does not exist then it redirects us to home page. When we have configure the default.site, but its receive 200 error. we need to redirect the customer to 404 page on LSDS. How do to achieve the funcationality.

Having a valid (and published) error page selected in the default.site should satisfy this requirement at a very basic level (as far as rendering the content of your error page when you request doesnotexist.page). However by default there's nothing to set the 404 status -- for that you'd want to use a precontroller either specific to this page or that checks for context.getPageName().equals(context.getSite().getErrorPage()) and then trigger context.getResponse().setStatus(404).

1. I suppose it depends on your version of TeamSite, but I haven't seen this be OOTB behaviour in any 7.x version. So yes, you'd have to write that piece of Java code.

2. If you're asking that question, then I think maybe you need some training or hand off this task to someone else.

We are using 7.4.1, don't know how implemented in Java end. That why I asked with you.
