SP2 and iwextattr.exe in Workflow
Andreas
We are running TS 5.5.2 on W2K. After installing SP2 we have problems with our workflow (external task assigning EAs via iwextattr.exe). It worked fine until we installed SP2. Now we always get the message 'access denied'. When we execute the command manually it works fine. We also noticed the hint in the release notes of SP2 that only users with proper access rights are allowed to assign the EAs via iwextattr.exe but currently we have no clue which user is used to execute the external task (SYSTEM???). Is there anyone who could give us some advice to get the workflow running again?
Thank you!
Andreas

We had a similar issue with service pack where after installing SP2 we get 'access denied' when trying to set the extended attributes from our workflows. The solution was to set the inheritable permissions set on the workarea, so that SYSTEM user could have access to the files.
Please check the interwoven support KB # 49663 for more details. I am not sure why interwoven would like to throw in permission changes to set the extended attributes in a service pack release. This change had a major impact and broke most of our customizations.
Thanks,
Srini.
