New File/Import File problem

Hello there,

 

TS - 7.3.2

OS RHEL - 5

Authentication ldap

 

The problem, I am seeing when a new file is created or imported to TeamSite. It doesn't pick the user's group from ldap. The user group in UI properties shows blank.

 

Owner: user_id

Group : <blank> 

 

When I check it at the backend, it shows the data

Owner: user_id

Group : nobody

 

I can see iwui user in tsusers.xml file but when I search user in TeamSite administration UI, I cann't find the user.

 

The logs doesn't show any specific error. Any pointers will be appreciated.

iwui may not show up in the Admin UI as a user because, I believe, TeamSite hides the defacto accounts (iwui, root) - so I don't think that's your issue.

 

It may be a setting in the user_databases.xml file, a limitation of the information being returned to TeamSite from the LDAP server, or some other (potentially obscure) setting.  

 

You'll probably have to see about enabling DEBUG mode for some loggers and then going through one or more logfiles to see what is happening, that and/or contacting HP Support for some advice / guidance.
