Dear All,Does anyone know how can be rotate or automatically breakup and delete x days older log files.also, does not appear to rotate ever, as mine has grown to 1 GB.
Thanks in Advance
Regards.
A lot depends on which log file(s) you are talking about.
Some of the TeamSite log files are set to rotate and may also be able to be configured in terms of the maximum number of such rotations.
Some of the TeamSite log files cannot be rotated [properly] without manually stopping the TeamSite services (long-standing issue). These require a custom implementation to stop the services, rotate (or zero-out) the log files, and then restart the services.
Some of the iwwebd log files - most notably the access.log - never rotate, and just grow-and-grow, and (if memory serves correctly) requires stopping the iwwebd service in order to properly rotate, or just outright remove, the file.
OpenDeploy configuration files (server and/or deployment) allow you to configure the max size and number of rotations to preserve for log files - but if you use the -inst parameter for your deployments (which most implementations do, for good reason), you are unlikely to ever reach the max size for the log and will end up with hundreds, if not thousands, of such log files - and it requires a custom built process to go through and delete all such log files that are older than some custom threshhold.
Hi friends, why not use software manager tool to manage log files. All is so easy by use these software. MaybeMobiKin Assistant for Android is a good choice. Hope this helps!
If you're going to try to "sell" something here - which you shouldn't be doing in the first place - it might make better sense to sell something that is relevant to the thread you're posting on.
