Issue while installing TeamSite 7.2.1 - Jboss

Hi,

We are currently installing TeamSite 7.2.1 in our production server. It's a fresh install.

We are trying to install the below components first

▪ Foundation Libraries 7.2.1.0.0 ▪ Application Container 7.2.1.0.0 ▪ Common Services 7.2.1.0.0 ▪ Common Services Client 7.2.1.0.0

But we are getting the error as "Unable to start/install Interwoven JBoss application server" Our platform is Windows 2007.

We have already installed OpenDeploy Base server and performed the required configurations. During the installation we had selected the higher memory option also.

We have also uninstalled teh components manually once, but even after reboot the service related to Jboss and Access service was listed in the services list.

Could someone please provide any suggestions for this issue.

Did you try reading the documentation before beginning this installation process?

Windows 7 is not, and will probably never be, a supported platform for the TeamSite server.

Start over with a freshly imaged server with a server OS (e.g.: W2K3 Server, W2K8 Server)

You may give this a try :

Stop and disable "Windows Management Instrumentation" service before installation begin. (If this service is not stopped, it will inturn stop SMS Agent Host service)

Command :- \>net stop winmgmt

If the installation finishes fine, do not forget to activate and start this service back.

I hope he/she is talking about Windows 2008. Not sure !

One would hope so, the installer would not make it very far on Win7. I doubt it would make it far enough to try starting JBOSS

The installer is not very resilient to choosing custom ports - I've had problems trying to select custom ports during installation on multiple versions of TS on both Windows and Linux.

This can even lead to the infamous catch 22 where installation won't complete until the service starts and you can't uninstall it until the installation is complete!

Assuming the other responses haven't already solved your problem, and you have tried to install using custom ports, you might try installing using the standard ports and customising the configuration later.
