A few questions here.
Has anyone successfully ran a silent install? If yes, where there any hiccups?
Is it possible to deploy TeamSite via RPM or application deployment tool?

Silent install, yes. Though it is a serious pain and you need to do EVERYTHING perfect.
When I did it (on 7.3.2) it still had some of the 7.0 settings as defaults (JBOSS on 9090 but now uses 8080) which broke the **** out of stuff. Because that is entered more than once, so I had a mix of 9090 and 8080. Not pretty.
Hope you have a VM you can play with to get it working correctly before you run it live. Will need DB access as well.
Doubtful that another tool would work.
