Updating custom page type xsl not working

Hi,

We are attempting to update E:\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\lib\content_center\livesite_customer_src\etc\classes\com\interwoven\xsl\runtime\RussellMobileFirst-layout.page.xsl and aren’t seeing the changes reflected on the pages using this layout after running build.bat.

can anyone plaese help me to let me know what wrong we are doing while creating a new custom page type .

also find the attached files pagetype-config.xml and RussellMobileFirst-layout.page.xsl

I can't spot any obvious errors.. Is your build throwing any?

Are the files being copied properly and to the right place (in this case, under iw-preview.war)?

Did JBoss actually get restarted after the build (the build doesn't always correctly trigger this)?

Has this layout worked before, and are you sure the page you're previewing is built to use it?

In our installation, build doesn't actually copy the files from livesite_customer_src to the correct location in ApplicationContainer.

As rpoulin said, ensure it also gets copied into the iw-preview.war folder. In our case we have copies in both the following folders:

\Interwoven\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-cc.war\WEB-INF\classes\com\interwoven\xsl\runtime - build will copy from your source location to this location.
\Interwoven\ApplicationContainer\server\default\deploy\iw-preview.war\WEB-INF\classes\com\interwoven\xsl\runtime - build will not copy to this location (NOTE: In our previous version, even when the file was in the preview source location, build did not copy to this location).

FYI. If you are testing, you can just update the files in the ApplicationContainer to see live update. Obviously remember to copy them to the relevant source location on production.

You may want ot capture the output of the build.bat and share that information. Errors can get hidden in there and it may look like it worked.
