The category/type does not exist in templating.cfg error

Hi,

I have copied few DCRs from one branch to another branch using cp command. After copying I have set the external attributes for those DCRs as well. Now when I am trying to edit the copied dcr I am getting the error as

The category/type ABC/XYZ does not exist in templating.cfg. Please contact your system administrator.

But other DCRs of same configuration of the same branch are editable. I am facing this issue for category ABC only. I have no clue where to look for this kind of error. Please suggest.

My Teamsite version - 7.3.2

Are you sure you set the EAs correctly?

Please post a copy of IWHOME/local/config/templating.cfg and show the EAs that you set on the copied DCRs.

Hi David,

I am sure I have used the correct command to set the EA , because same set of commands are working fine for other copied DCRs in other categories. However other DCRs of ContentPage/data folder with same set of EA are working just fine.

It looks like you are putting an extra space before the Category name.

Try this command:

/app/mass1/Interwoven/TeamSite/bin/iwextattr -s "TeamSite/Templating/DCR/Type=About/ContentPage" /cms-store/iwmnt/default/main/starrelaunch/ce/cn/WORKAREA/WAstar/templatedata/About/ContentPage/data/member-airlines/carsten-spohr_LH.dcr

You're welcome. Glad I was able to help. Sometimes the smallest things are the hardest to spot.

Personally, if I'm only moving a few DCRs I will usually just use the "Copy To" command to save me the trouble of manually reassigning EAs.

Yeah agree on that about the smallest things.

Even I also use "Copy to" command for moving couple of DCRs but this tiime I have to copy few dcrs for 9 different languages thats why I have to go for cp command to save some time.
