admin console teamsite 8.0

Hi,

we are using teamsite 8.0 in our process and the problem is whenever we try to access the admin console it gives the error "Could not contact administration application.Please cofirm with your system administrator that it is installed"

Please let me know if anyone has faced the same problem and possibe workaround.

You need to provide more information. Like is it installed ? What OS?

You should see a path like:

C:\interwoven\InterwovenAdministrationConsole if it was installed

I have 8.0 nad hte admin UI come up fine.

If you are positive it was installed (it is done as a different step from TS), then you need to start checking the server.log and iwjnoss.log and see if there are errors deploying the iw-admin.war.

Check the logs in C:\interwoven\ApplicationContainer\standalone\log (or where ever yours are installed)

Thanks for getting back on this.

i have installed it on windows 2012 server.i have checked the logs there were no erros while deploying the iw-admin.war.The content_centre log says "Invalid ServiceId/ClientId - Authentication failed" msg.will try to get the log msg here soon.

Mine is on 2008 and it works find.

CHeck the server.log in nterwoven\ApplicationContainer\standalone\log,

You may need to run iwreset -a first and then check the log.

That is typically a non-issue

Look for the iw-admin war and see if it was deployed, otherwise you will have to work with support.

Please check your iwserver.log and iwtrace.log. There are known issues with Windows 2012 and your system may be throwing the errors in those logs. If so, there are workarounds available and 8.0.1 is expected to have the fix.

I seem to be running into the same issues - again. The installer says that the Admin Console has been installed as follows:

Win Srvr 2012 R2
E:\Interwoven\InterwovenAdministrationConsole

Just for the sake of things, I tried to deploy the iw-admin.war directly to WildFly - got the folwing stack trace:

I have no clue what this thing is "trying" to say. Not fun !
I did try to create a new deployment where WildFly would monitor a specified path, and, I even tried to create an iw-admin.war.dodeploy ... that did nothing.

I noticed in an earlier post, someone mentioned the AdminConsole was a seperate step - what step - I followed the install guide.

You should specify what verion of TS you are running.

Run iwreset -a and then tail the iwjboss.log

Look for the errors in the logs and post. You may need to contact support.

Sorry - I thought this was the TS 8.x group discussion. I am on TS 16.2, which I understand is
simply a rename of TS 8.3 . I am investigating a few things right now:

I do not recall being told to install the CSSDK - just did it and am rebooting server
A few .war files were causing jboss not to start up. I isolated and skipped deploy for the following:
BasicReportCenter.war
preview.war
wcmweb.ear
I am of the impression I need to fix this before I can get to the AdminConsole - agree ?

3.I am very afraid to apply any 7.3.2 configuration to my new TS 16. I am looking for some CLEAR help on how to config my TS16. Any ideas/suggestions ?

If those ears are not deploying that is a major issue. You may get the admin UI running but are missing significant functionality. You will need ot address those. Before you do all too much I would work on getting JBOSS happy before you go too far. I will mention that I see many implementations with a failed reportcenter war, so if tha tis not important to you it can be skipped.

I have not have had issues moving 7.X configurations to 8. I have not tried 8.3 (though I do have 8.2.0.1 loaded with the 7.3.2 configs)

The issue that I was facing in 8.0 was missmatch of registry values with the values present in database and fixing that with restart of services fixed the issues.
