Unable to change page title of copied pages

Hi all,

Using TeamSite 7.3.2 we are unable to change a published page title.

Please note that we can update a page title within Page Settings and see that it is retaining these changes, but the title of the page remains unchanged, once published to the production environment.

It may be important to note that we find this seems only to affect pages that are copied form an existing page.

E.g.

we have a perfectly authored page

we use TeamSite menu options Edit -> Copy to create a copy with a different name

we update the content and the title via Page Settings

publishing the page results in the page having the same title as the source page it was copied from

N.B. we can verify the page title is updated by editing the copy, this update just doesn't show in the published page. Publishing multiple times makes no difference.

Any help hugely appreciated!

Do you have any tagging applied for those pages? [if your existing workflow might be giving preference to TAG UI title, rathar than title from page settings, in this case we have to change during tagging]

Also check your respective <LAYOUT>.page.xsl, for <title> [some thing goes here] </title> which may help for debugging.

This issue proved not to be a tagging issue and was unresolved on TeamSite 7.3.2.

This issue is now resolved, possibly due to an upgrade to TeamSite 7.5.0.

I have no access to logs on this platform, so I can't rule out some underlying permissions issue.

On the other hand, we were able to create new pages and set the page title, so permissions seems unlikely.

If you are experiencing this issue, I would try changing this property and watching the logs to see if a permissions issue is reported. Attempt to publish the page and see if anything is reported, etc.

If no luck, check your TeamSite version - there may be an update you can apply.
