Web CMS (TeamSite)
what's the engine in Teamsite?
petersigurdson
I just started working with creating some content in Teamsite. I'm curious to understand what's under the hood. I'm guessing it is the standard Web Application Server model of a webserver with some configuration files, a database for persistance and a core module of Java programs to do the work of process workflow requests and interacting with clients with a web browser interface.
Does this sound right?

TeamSite does make use of some DB technology for some aspects of the product, but it is essentially a virtual file system and not a DB that is used for the versioned repository.
You might consider reading through the various Administrator's Guides and/or going through the Administrator training courses to find out more details
