TeamSite & Hreflang Links

Is there a plug-in or script for Teamsite to handle and manage XML Sitemap Hreflang links? If not, does any one know of a third party tool? Not to just create an XML Sitemap, but to create an XML Sitemap and add Hreflang tags for many regional websites.

Any hints are welcome.

I don't really understand what you want to achieve. Can you be more specific?

TeamSite has an XML site map (assuming you're using Sitepublisher/LiveSite) which you can add external links to - if that is what you are asking.

We have 74 regional sites and want to automate Hreflang management (in the XML Sitemap as much as possible. Using an excel spreadsheet isnt an option.

You're not providing a whole lot of context here, but if you're using SitePub's OOTB localization mechanism, then you can use workflow to store the dependency information (links between the different localized versions of a page) and publish that to the runtime in one of 100 different ways. Then your runtime page can just query your repository for those mappings and produce the hreflang tags automatically without ever requiring your users to manually manage these things in the sitemap or elsewhere.

This may be redundant and even boring ...

We are using CDN, so a runtime gathering of code from the main corporate center to far flung regions isn't going to work (security and latency). Can we automatically export the Hreflangs and corresponding URL's to a XML Sitemap? There still has to be some manual choosing of the Hreflang link URL's. Right?

Yes you could write a workflow task or some scheduled process to pull the information into a Sitemap XML file. And depending on how you do your localization, you may not require any additional user input for that.

I can't be more specific as far as implementation approach because I don't know enough about how you manage your content in your implementation.
