Text doesn't appear in edit mode of .page.

We recently upgraded the teamsite version to 7.4.1 from 7.3.2. We are having weird issue in .page files where the text (like paragraph in tinymce) doesn't appear in the edit mode, but shows up correctly in preview mode. Since the text doesn't show up at all in the edit mode, the business users are not able to validate the change. Images show up correctly in the edit mode. Also, the issue is occuring on all the browsers (i.e, ff, and chrome). Please let me know, if you have encountered this issue.

Just a shot-in-the-dark: Have you verified whether the text is there (either through select-drag or View Source) and just not displaying (e.g.: white-text on white-background)? If that's the case, it is likely to be some CSS issue. Firebug (in Firefox) may be helpful in debugging it (regardless)

Text shows up correctly, when I preview the .page file. It is the edit mode, which I am having issue with. In edit mode, the text doesn't appear, although images appear correctly. The .page file was working correctly before we did the upgrade of teamsite to 7.4.1 from 7.3.1.

Is it only in TinyMCE or does it fail in text blocks as well?

For new pages/components as well as old ? Have you checked the comonent guide ?

It works fine in TinyMCE. The text doesn't appear in the edit mode. It looks like the issue is with only one or two components.

Edit and save the components, then do a get latest component on the page

As you suggested, I updated and saved component. Also updated the .page file with latest component, but still in the edit mode the text doesn't appear.

You have to start isolating the issue

Create a new page and see if it still happens.

Follow ghoti's advice and put it in FIrebug and see if there is a CSS conflict
