TeamSite Low Disk Space

We have a Teamsite server running on Redhat 6. We are running out of space on it and I'm needing to know if there is any way to clear out or clean up any unused files. I've noticed that the majority of the files are under the /apps/autonomy/LiveSiteCS/authoring/tmp directory. Is there any way to clean these files up?

Check you logs and cycle them as needed. OpenDeployNG/log, TeamSite/local/logs/

Check Teamsite/tmp as well, some people put files there (do not delete an directories).

The authoring/tmp folder typically is cleaned up automatically, but that is a setting here:

more /opt/interwoven/LiveSiteCSAuth/authoring/etc/deployment/config/deployment-source.properties

StartDeploy_AuthoringTempArea=/opt/interwoven/LiveSiteCSAuth/authoring/tmp

Note, the cleanup removes the files but not the folders, so you may see thousands of folders there which are empty.

You can remove older files and folders (anything erallyw ithout an active workflow). Any old files normally are ones that failed and the jobs never completed.

Thanks for your reply. We have the below section set to false. If we change it to true, is there any way to manually force it to run a cleanup?

Nope, you will need to clean it up manually. The change is for the workflow to delete files it created.

Since you are Linux you can do something like this:

find /apps/interwoven/LiveSiteCSAuth/authoring/tmp -mtime +5 -type f -exec ls -l {} \;

Which will do an ls -l of each file

find /apps/interwoven/LiveSiteCSAuth/authoring/tmp -mtime +5 -type f -exec rm -f {} \;

Will delete them.

Will services need to be restarted for the new setting to take effect?

Do not remember if that is the case. It is read by the WF, but I assume it is loaded in a Java Bean somewhere, but do not know for certain.

Run a deployment, there will be a new directory, but check inside that to see if all the files have been deleted or not.
