"!" and "Due Date" fields in standard Workflow Jobs tab

Hello,

quick one, I think. We were thinking we could make use of the "!" and "Due Date" fields in the standard Workflow Jobs tab to make it more useful, but can't see what is supposed to populate them.

I looked in the .dtd, which has defined just:

<!ATTLIST workflow name ID #REQUIRED

owner CDATA #REQUIRED

creator CDATA #REQUIRED

description CDATA #IMPLIED>

The name, owner & description attributes of the <workflow> tag are used to populate the columns of the same name in the workflow Jobs tab, but I can't see where "!" and "Due Date" might come from and I don't see anything in the literature.

Anybody know where they come from?

Err, figured it out. Users can change them right there on the UI. So in the workflow Jobs tab screen, below the fold you set Priority to 0-Very High from the dropdown, and Due Date to something and those columns get populated.

Pretty obvious really, just needed my eyes working.

Was rather hoping I could set them programmatically. So I guess I'll have to add the priority & date information I want to the Description or Name fields. Darn.

I believe that you can set job (or perhaps task) variables named "due_date" and "priority" programmatically within the workflow to accomplish what you wanted.

I believe the priority values (looking at the WFM documentation) are:

0 - Very High
1 - High
2 - Medium
3 - Low
4 - Very Low

I'm not sure what the format for due_date is - I'd suggest trying yyyy-mm-dd (or yyyymmdd) first and then try different alternatives afterwards if that doesnt appear to work.

I was looking in the 'legacy' .wft manual and there was nothing for 'priority' or 'due*date'.

I think I will try this, but if those values can be overwritten by any user that can use the workflow tab then it will probably have limited benefit.
