Can editions be migrated/moved/deployed from one branch to another ?? I tried using OD and the deployment errors out saying no write access to edition.
Is there any way ??

I haven't tried this specifically, but from my reads of the Teamsite manual, the thing you need to use is the "iwmigrate" tool. Check it in the Command Lines Tools guide.

You can never, ever in a million years, write to an edition. You can only write to a workarea.
You cna use copy to (GUI), iwupdate ,OpenDeploy or iwmigrate to move from one branch to a workarea within another branch. iwmigrate is the best approach.
