Sitemap node value is not changing after editing link page option.

Our Teamsite Ver is 7.4.1 and its installed on windows box.

We have implemented segmentation and while editing(Edit Details) the sitemap values like link page in newly generated sitemap(other than primary) value is not updating.

After editing if we are clicking OK button its asking us if we want to apply changes to identical nodes and we are choosing Don't Change Any option.

Any one having idea about this issue. Is it a bug of Teamsite.

what browser are you using ? See if there are any JS errors, the sitemap editor uses a lot of JS.

Hi Andy,

We have tried to edit sitemap in all browsers and in all browser issue was same. We are not able to see any JS error as well. If you know of any JS file which we should look for this issue please let us know.

The only other thing I can think of is that someone else has it locked and you are unable to save.

Do you by chance have mulitple workareas on this branch (that is not supported)

Try downloading it and using an XML editor.

Hi Andy,

we are editing sitemap using single ID so it can't be locked and yes we have multiple workarea inside the branch.

Currently we are downloading it and editing it by using NP++.

This is what Andy was talking about - SitePublisher / LiveSite only supports a single workarea per branch - thus if you have multiple workareas in the branch it is unlikely to work and completely unsupported.

Yea the sitemap editor has trouble with mulitple workareas on a single branch. So this mode is unsupported and it likely won't work.

Go to a single workarea or keep downloading and changing (and hope someone doesn't really f things up)

We also hope we don’t mess anything in sitemap so I have dedicatedly assigned one person to take care of sitemap. In this way I think chance of getting f up will be minimum Smiley Wink

If you get rid of all but one of the workareas on that branch, then you will have minimized the chances of getting "f upped".

Hi Ghoti,

Actually we have only one workarea inside the working branch but that working branch belongs to another branch. So basically we have single workarea under nested branches.

I know its lill bit confusing and doesn’t make sense but we have this architecture based on requirement from our client.
