Web CMS (TeamSite)
single_browser_window
System
Users complain that all the browser windows that TeamSite opens are annoying, and that the performance from doing this is bad.
There is a
single_browser_window
setting in the [iwcgi] section of iw.cfg. I have enabled this and run iwreset -ui, but I can't see any difference. Does anyone know what this does and/or if/how it works? Does anyone have this enabled on their servers?

Look at pages 119/120 of the Admin manual (this is based on me having the manual for 5.5.2)
Basically is meant to reuse the same window each time you preview a file.
The example in the manual has it single_browser_window=TRUE
Not sure if the capitalisation is important.

But it doesn't seem to work, at least if I am in a DCT and press preview twice I get multiple windows.

Then it is best that you raise this with Interwoven support as a possible bug.
I have just tried this and it also opens in a 2nd window. This is what i did :
Altrered iw.cfg to include single_browser_window=TRUE as the manual says.
Logged out
iwreset -ui
logged in
previewed a document and it opened in a 2nd window.

To be clear here - preview should always open a 2nd window - i.e. not replace the current TS GUI window - but it should not open a 3rd and 4th etc. window when doing multiple previews.
If the latter is happening, yes, report it - but if you're just talking about the fact that the preview happens in a different window than the main TS GUI - that's not a bug

Then that is my missunderstanding. I do get the 2nd window but i never tstested for a 3rd or a 4th. Is this what you see John?
