Disable In-context Editing for ALL sitepub components

Is there a setting to mass disable in-context edits for all site publisher pages/components without having to edit the component code?

We have noticed an issue since 6.7.2 (still in 8.1) where any $URL_PREFIX within the textarea gets replaced with "/iw/cci/meta/no-injection/iw-mount/default/main/*" just from the simple fact that a user clicked inside an in-context edit... When deploying the pages out to the web servers, the links/images are broken...

Not certain if there is one, but there is a patch for if the issue is what I think it is

Steps to apply the QSU.
=========================
1) Backup existing <iw-home>/private/lib/content_center/livesite.tk.war to <your_backup> location.
2) Copy livesite.tk.war to <iw-home>/private/lib/content_center
3) install_webapps -f content_center

Instructions to rollback the QSU, if applicable.

1) Restore backed up livesite.tk.war to <iw-home>/private/lib/content_center
2) install_webapps -f content_center

How do we uptain this patch?

Are you telling me that this patch hasn't made it to any of the releases, not even the latest 8.1? Why would it not?

Will this patch get blown away everytime we update TeamSite?

Request the patch from support, I would have thought it would have been fixed by now, and maybe this is a different issue.

Yes you would blow it away on an upgrade, which is why I always have a admin branch where I version all my customizations of TeamSite (iw.cfg, templating.cfg, patches, etc) so they can easily be reapplied.
