Fail to unmount /.iwmnt

Hi,

We are doing a migration of TeamSite from 6.5 SP2 to 7.5. After a fresh installation of TS 7.5, we copied iw-store from TS 6.5 for contents.

Contents of default store did not manage to come out from TS UI. From iwserver.log, I can see error message:

nfs mount: mount: /.iwmnt/default: Stale NFS file handle
umount: warning: /.iwmnt/default not in mnttab
umount: /.iwmnt/default not mounted

After stop TS, I can still see /.iwmnt. Tried to force umount but same error:

umount: warning: .iwmnt/ not in mnttab
umount: .iwmnt/ not mounted

It's running on Solaris 10 SPARC (Update 9). Searched the forum but mostly asked to open a ticket. I've opened a case with Support, but anyone has any idea?

Check the docs,  but I am 95% certain that you cannot upgrade directly from 6.5 to 7.5.  The backingstore format changed in the 7.2/7.3 timeframe. 

 

You may need to add some lines to the mnttabl file.  Something like this:

 

myserver:/iwserver/default /iwmnt/default nfs vers=2,proto=tcp,xattr
myserver:/iwserver/default /.iwmnt/default nfs vers=2,proto=tcp,noac,xattr
myserver:/iwserver/iwadmin /iwmnt/iwadmin nfs vers=2,proto=tcp,xatt
myserver:/iwserver/iwadmin /.iwmnt/iwadmin nfs vers=2,proto=tcp,noac,xattr
