API to copy from windows file sys to TS Briefcase?
kjackson
We know that Teamsite Front Office (5.5.2) implements a virtual folder called Teamsite Briefcase. This folder is not a true Microsoft Windows supported folder - so you cannot File Save As into that folder.
Is there an API that we can call from Office VBA that can allow us to do various standard MS Office manipulations with our Office files and then copy the completed file into the Briefcase?

The 'File->TeamSite->Save As' function was added to compensate for the missing 'File->Save As' functionality.
If you've tried this already, what is it lacking for your use case?

The TeamSite save as doesn't allow me to select different file formats. For example, as an educational institution we have a number of powerpoint files that we need to publish (for students). However, powerpoint files are not "accessible" therefore we are not really supposed to publish in ppt format. As an alternative we use RTF as this is "accessible". In addition, it has the added benefit, of more if not only interest to the students, that they can download th rtf and have the lecturer's notes on their notebook when they are attending the lecture which they can annotate directly.
TFO doesn't allow me to "SaveAs RTF" into the Briefcase.
To clarify that, if I use the TS Save As, the only file formats available are presentation and web page. This is not helpful as you can imagine. I have managed to bypass the double errors using ppt's save as when I try to nominate the briefcase however I can't select a folder other than the root - which is also not helpful.
Hence the question regardig an API.
Hope that is clear.

I agree with you. But there is no API in TFO right now.
A workaround would be to save the file onto the local machine and then import it into the Briefcase.
