Expiring Pages
Saif
We have a TeamSite perl process that checks the expiration date attribute of a file set through "Set Metadata" and if the file is expired the simply deletes the file from production.
Question is do you know any situation where this process can be very useful since it only deletes the expired file without changing the files that has link to the deleted file? I am trying to justify any business reason to keep this process running every day.

This is not a very good idea at all.
Blindly deleting pages because of a user entered date seem pretty dangerous.
I would suggest a notification system, rather than a deletion/expiry
When the time comes, fire off an email to the user, telling them that it needs to be actioned.

Instead of deleting the file you could tag it with another delete attribute to the DCR.
