Opendeploy compatibilty

Hi,

we are trying to install OpenDeploy Base server 8.x to achieve a deployment to 6.x OD receivers.
Please let me know if deployment from higher version to lower version is feasible or not?

The development team has worked o make OD compatible between a wide variety of versions. That being said, there are 12 or so years of releases between 6.0 and 8.2.

It is likely not supported but it should work. Set up a test and see.

Hi,

Deployments without encryption (i.e. without SSL) should still work fine from 8.x to 6.x (I even tested deploying from 16.2 to 6.1.1 and it worked fine). However, deployments with encryption will fail to connect, because we have disabled SSLv3 protocol in later versions of OpenDeploy, and unfortunately there is no corresponding patch to do that in 6.x.
