BIRT need chinese font?

Hello,I am using BIRT to generate japanese PDF,when I run BIRT it said error occured,and if we include chinese font it may fix, but I dont need print chinese,
why it said that?bug?

JP use Katakana, Kanji and Hiragana character sets. For some of these BIRT use by default STSongLight font when render to pdf. Adobe embedded this font to Chinese font package.
If you don't want confuse your JP users with question about downloading chinese fonts, you can use in your report e.g. HeiseiKakuGO-W5 font. Adobe has this font in JP fonts package.
