Error in XML source Page

I am trying to open a report which was created using an older version of birt. When I open the report, it opens in the layout tab which looks fine. I can view the Master page tab and go back to the layout tab. As soon as I view the source I cannot view the layout tab and I get the following error.
"Error in XML source Page must be corrected before other pages can be used."

I have looked around and saw posts about changing the version # but that didn't change anything. For reference I have posted the version tags below.

<report xmlns="http://www.eclipse.org/birt/2005/design" version="3.2.15" id="1">
<property name="createdBy">Eclipse BIRT Designer Version 2.2.1.r22a_v20071101 Build <2.2.1.v20071101-1439></property>

I am currently using the most recent version of Birt from actuate which is 2.2.2.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Hi,

I think you have a problem with the BIRT version. I started to work with BIRT 2.1 and I had to change the second line of the XML Source.

Try with this:

<property name="createdBy">Eclipse BIRT Designer Version 2.2.2.r222_v20071226 Build <2.2.2.v20080131-1102></property>

Does it work?

Hi Ele,

Thanks for the reply. I actually just solved my problem 5 minutes ago. It was a user error. I had not imported the report file into my project. Once I did this I had no problems viewing both the source and layout.
