Running report 1 asks for parameters of report 2
jpilarzeck
Hi there,
strange problem with iServer management console: I add a new BIRT report, lets call it "report 1". The report uses a library file which is already placed in resources folder.
Running report 1 asks for 5 parameters, lets call them p1 to p5. Adding some proper values and running the report delivers the correct results.
Now I add a second report in same folder - "report 2". It uses same library - but has other parameters - lets call them pA and pB.
Running report 2 works fine - the parameters are requested, the results are correct.
Now I try to run report 1 again - and then the problem occurs: It asks for false parameters. iServer management console asks for parameters pA and pB - the params of report 2. I have no change to enter the correct parameters, so the results of report 1 are false.
I can reproduce that behaviour - deleting all 3 files (report 1, report 2, library), restarting the service (windows xp sp3) and adding library and report 1 again. Now running the report 1 asks for correct parameters p1 - p5.
Some background info: report 2 links to report 1 (with all the parameters p1 - p5) and passes its own parameters pA and pB to report 1. Report 1 links back to report 2, using passed pA and pB to get the correct results of report 2.
What is wrong?

Hi jpilarzeck:
I am unable to recreate the issue. I am attaching couple of sample reports and a library file. They use the Classic Models sample database, so you should be able to run them in your environment. Could you help me understand the problem by recreating the issue with attached reports?
Thanks
Ashwini
