I have a problem with exporting reports that contains charts to excel. Chart is not exported to excel. Is there any solution to export charts to Excel?
I use BIRT 2.2.

Hi slobar123,<br />
<br />
In BIRT 2.2 the included XLS emitter does not produce charts with the output. I have seen a plug-in for BIRT called Tribix that has another XLS emitter that does bring the chart over... however the chart shows up as an image and is not a working chart once it reaches the XLS file. There is a reference to that project from this site at <a class='bbc_url' href='

/>

If you need to preserve the chart and formulas and multiple worksheets, etc., then have a look at the free e.Spreadsheet Designer at <a class='bbc_url' href='

I am not familiar with the Tribix installation, however, using the e.Spreadsheet Designer will be your best option to get charts into an Excel report. Spreadsheets created with the e.Spreadsheet Designer can have working charts (not just charts converted to pictures), plus multiple worksheets that can burst based on the data supplied, protected worksheets, outlining, conditional formatting, etc. The e.Spreadsheet designs can be used along side your BIRT reports if you are using the BIRT Deployment Kit or the iServer Express without any additional development. If you are using the open source BIRT web viewer then you can use the e.Spreadsheet Engine to deliver your spreadsheet reports from a Java Servlet in a similar fashion.
