Newbie Question. Choosing the size

Hi to everybody. I just wanna create a box (grid) of size 3.4 inches(width) x 2.1 inches(height). But when i define it, and I create the PDF the box shrinks. Anybody knows how to create a box with text inside ( like an identity card) with the size and height that you indicate?

Hi Inesteban,

What version are you using? I'm using 2.2.2. When I set a grid's height and width to the dimensions you provided, it shrinks it in pdf whether you use the fixed or auto layout. However, if you're putting a text box inside the grid cell, you can go to the Advanced Properties of the text box down in the property editor and expand the report item section and set the height and width there and it seems to work correctly.

Thanx a lot!. I was using 2.1.3, so maybe the problem is with the old designer.

Have you tried specifying the size of the text box and changing the layout type to fixed in the general properties of the report? I don't have a copy of 2.1 to check, but that may solve it in that version.
