Switching datasources

Hello again,
i have another question :

My report is designed on my computer where I have a connection to a database server. In production, it is another server with another database that is not accessible from outside. I will only be able to have "localhost" datasource connection.

What I want to do is create 2 connexions, one for design, the other for production and with a parameter or auto detection switch from one datasource to the other.

how can I do that ?

I already found an article entitled "BIRT : Swapping Data Set at Runtime" but it doesn't fit my need.
