Server Integration Technology

iServer Express provides a wide variety of APIs. While the documentation does a great job of explaining them, nothing gets you going faster than an example. 
 
Server Integration Technology (SIT) is a collection of examples that show how to use each API, and it is available now. The Information Delivery API (IDAPI) is the primary API for iServer Express. It is a web services API that provides access to every iServer feature. In fact, the IDAPI is what iPortal and Management Console use to talk to the iServer. 
 
The Server Integration Technology page in the Wiki now has an article that describes how to use the IDAPI for operations such as: 
 
* Upload and download files 
* Run and schedule reports 
* Perform administration tasks (add users, create folders, etc.)

Product documentation explains how to use the IDAPI with a Java client that Apache Axis generates. This works, but the Axis code is somewhat low level, making the documentation examples somewhat lengthy. To make the IDAPI easier to learn and use, the Wiki article provides a Java client wrapper: a set of classes that turn most IDAPI operations into two or three line tasks.
