Clarity and Actuate

Does anybody know how Clarity CA (an application) uses the Actuate for generating report? i mean to say i gone through the different way. I provided the different data in Clarity (CA) for generating Report its generating report and produce the same file format which Actuate generates.

Help me to link this two applications. I used Clarity application and Actuate in separately.
