Font changes when exporting to DOC
alscheurin
Hi, hopefully someone can help me with this.
I'm using Birt report designer 2.2.2 to create a report on a OSX box (10.5). I'm using the Arial font for most of the report.
When it's ready I move it to my server which is running Ubuntu 7.10 server with the MS core fonts installed.
When I run the report it looks fine in the web viewer and PDF, but in Word the fonts are changed to Lucinda Grande.
Is there something simple I'm missing? Do I need to configure my rptdesign to look elsewhere for fonts?
Thanks,
Al

Hi!<br />
<br />
Is the problem solved? I have the same. In the report is "Times New Roman" und in the word doc is "Lucida Sans Typewriter", but only when there is text. In empty text fields still ist Times New Roman.<br />
In the rports XML-Script isn't Lucida, only times. <br />
<br />
in the Word-XML-DOC (outputed) is something like that:<br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>
<w:defaultFonts w:ascii="Times New Roman" w:fareast="Times New Roman" w:h-ansi="Times New Roman" w:cs="Times New Roman"/><w:font w:name="Lucida Sans Typewriter"><w:altName w:val="Times New Roman"/>
</pre>
<br />
Before Text comes, there is somthing like:<br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>
<w:rFonts w:ascii="Lucida Sans Typewriter" w:fareast="Lucida Sans Typewriter" w:h-ansi="Lucida Sans Typewriter" w:cs="Lucida Sans Typewriter"/><wx:font wx:val="Lucida Sans Typewriter"/><w:color w:val="000000"/></w:rPr><w:t>An</w:t></w:r></w:p><w:p wsp:rsidR="00EC0956" wsp:rsidRDefault="00B31A2A"><w:r><w:rPr><w:rFonts w:ascii="Lucida Sans Typewriter" w:fareast="Lucida Sans Typewriter" w:h-ansi="Lucida Sans Typewriter" w:cs="Lucida Sans Typewriter"/><wx:font wx:val="Lucida Sans Typewriter"/><w:color w:val="000000"/></w:rPr><w:t>
</pre>
<br />
But I only want to have Times New Roman. Does someone have a solution?<br />
<br />
Thanks
