Data Export - Available Data Sets
RustyWheeler
From my understanding, the list of items(elements) in the drop down box from the data export window has all available data sets listed in it.
Is there a way of hiding these from the drop down box? IE - i have five(5) available data sets on my one report, and i only want the users to see one(1), so as to avoid confussion to them when exporting.

The list in data export is the list of all available result sets in the report, not the list of all datasets. For example, if the report has a table and two datasets, the table binding with one dataset, in the list there should be only one result set, the result set name is the name of table. And the bindings of this result set is consistent with tables (may be table has some user defined or computed bindings).
For how to hide other resultsets I have no idea. But if you set the name of your result set like specify the name of your table or list, you will not confuse to finding a resultset.

I'm seeing this in BIRT 2.3.1 as well. I get 5 available data sets, 2 each for the header/footer grid+data element and one more for the table that actually has data in it. Is there a way to filter what data sets get shown in that list? Not all datasets involved in a report are interesting to export.
