Page break problem

Hi all,

What I'd like to have is avoid one line splitted into two pages.
While it seems that I can have break each group or never.
I prefer starting new Line only if it fits all in one page otherwise put break page and start next Line in new page.
Something like smart break page.

I'm using BIRT 2.3.0.

Can anyone help?

Hi Murali,

Have you tried clicking on the actual multi-line data element in your report design and set the page break inside to "avoid" in the property editor?

I set the property to avoid only.

I tried several combinations of pagebreak "before" ,"after", "inside" properities with avoid, but no use. can u suggest any other way to do.

any suggestion is valuble for me , I need to find out the solution....

I hadn't tried it out when I sent you that solution. That was the fix to a previously logged bug. It seems that it still does not work correctly in PDF, however. Please visit <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/reportabug.php'>BIRT: Reporting Bugs and Requesting Enhancements</a> and log a new bug for this with screenshots and a detailed description. You can post the bug information in here for tracking purposes.

but in ur case can v use max. page break value ??
