Creating a cover letter and page breaks

I am trying to create a pdf cover letter with:

- the main letter content variable (i.e. data driven)
- an address block that is at the bottom left of the main content.

I have setup a 2 column grid with the address bottom aligned in the first column, and the main content in the second column. The main content is dynamic text and may span two pages, but birt seems to try to fit all the content onto one page. Is there a way that I can get the main content to page break rather than birt trying to fit it all into one page?
