I am new to interwoven products, and want t get start with it.
can anybody tell me, how do i create a initial user interface template. Do i have to write the datacapture.cfg myself, or somehow its is created for me, when i give the details of the input fields.

You gotta write it yourself.

It isn't that bad, especially with all the examples that ship with TeamSite and the explanations given in the TeamSite Template Developer's Guide.

we bought teamsite from interwoven. can we download teamsite template builder free of cost?

I think so. Talk to your sales rep or Tech Support to find out the specifics. But there's not much you can do with Visual Template Builder without TeamSite Templating -- you said you bought TeamSite, did you also buy TeamSite Templating?
