Cosstabs taking ages

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to build BIRT reports from an Orable db. It's working pretty good, I've managed to get tables, aggregation and such things to work but when I try crosstabs, the preview is suddenly taking ages and I usually have to cancel. I left it more than an hour for a very simple crosstab (something like "count of clients grouped by country and contract_type"), while normal tabs are taking a few seconds.
I was working with Birt 2.2 on JRE 1.6, I've tried to go back to JRE 1.5 just in case and i also tried to move to Birt 2.3 but the same thing happens.

Does anyone had similar experience ? Is it normal ? Is there something I'm doing wrong ?

How many rows/columns does the crosstab you're talking about have?
